Decided to revisit this earlier image I had done of the Wexford starting lineup of the 1996 All-Ireland final. Laid out in their positions on the field, I just kept their features to the minimum. Each player is fairly distinguishable from the next; George O'Connor and Storey are instantly recognisable with their moustaches; Rod Guiney with his red hair; Gary Laffan with his nose strip; Liam Dunne and his bushy eyebrows and so on. I had tried various diffeernt coloured backgrounds but plain white seemed to bring the images out best.

Probably the most difficult illustration I've attempted so far. Took me numerous attempts to get Seán Óg's face right. Not 100% but think it's pretty close enough now. Apart from the shadow, which I will change again in the future.
Illustration of 2012 All Star nominee, Wexford and Gusserane's Panther Flynn. Pictured here in typical pose as he looks to go on the attack. Happy with the shadows and highlights in this one, something I always find difficult enough to do,
Zinedine Zidane scoring THAT fantastic goal for Real Madrid in the 2002 UEFA Champions League final against Bayer Leverkusen.
Antrim forward Liam Watson in full flight. One of the most talented hurlers around and one of those players that would probably make it onto any team in the country.
Cartoon interpretation of Kerry's Colm 'Gooch' Cooper. One of the most skillful footballers ever.
Encapsulated here as he is about to take a free kick in the surroundings of Croke Park. After his immense performance against Wales, his first after being stripped as Irish captain, I felt compelled to do another Illustration of BOD. This one captures him, giving orders, battle wounded but fighting on.
Another early GAA memory from 1994 when Leitrim won their first Connacht title since 1927 with 31 counties shouting on the men in gold. Iconic image here of the captain, Declan Darcy lifting the cup with the 1927 captain Tom Gannon.
